From 27 January to 01 February 2026, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) participated in a tourism promotion and air route development program held in Seoul and Busan, Republic of Korea. The program was jointly organized by the People’s Committee of Hue City and the People’s Committee of Quang Tri Province with the objective of promoting Hue as a destination and facilitating the launch of direct air services between Incheon – Hue and Busan – Hue.

On January 16, 2026, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Cargo Terminal Project at Danang International Airport. This is a key infrastructure project aimed at resolving the state of overloading and modernizing cargo transport capacity, contributing to the promotion of socio-economic development for Da Nang City and the Central Highlands region. With ACV serving as the solely investor, the project has a total investment capital of 631 billion VND, utilizing 100% of the Corporation's development capital. The facility is being built on an area of over 2.4 hectares, consisting of a main terminal with three floors and one mezzanine, designed for a capacity of 100,000 tons of cargo per year. The project is expected to be deployed for construction over 12 months with a synchronous infrastructure system, including auxiliary works and a modern environmental treatment system that meets international aviation standards. Beyond being a Grade II traffic work, the new Cargo Terminal is identified as a crucial link in realizing the goal of making Da Nang a logistics center connecting the Central Key Economic Region and the East-West Economic Corridor.
Throughout 2026, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) continues to implement comprehensive management, oversight, and quality control activities regarding aviation personnel training for service providers, including the Saigon Ground Services Joint Stock Company (SAGS). These measures are designed to ensure strict compliance with statutory regulations, specialized aviation standards, and international best practices, with a specific focus on the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) standards.
The Ministry of Construction issued Decision No. 26/QĐ-BXD on January 9, 2026, officially designating ACV as the project owner for Phase 2 of the Long Thanh International Airport Project.
